Cook Library offers a wide range of services online.  Please select from the following list to obtain assistance.

Ask a reference question.  You may select any one of the USF Libraries to ask a question specific to that library or use the Ask a Librarian form for a general question that needs a quick response. You may also email our reference department for a quick response to general questions.

ONLINE RENEWAL.  Use one of the following forms to view a list of all materials checked out to you and to renew any or all materials.  Be sure to check your library records after renewing materials - if books have reached their renewal limit or have been requested by another patron, your materials will not be renewed.  If you have a problem with your renewal, click here.

Request a book from another library via Interlibrary Loan using ILLiad.

Missing Item Form.  You may use this form to initiate a search for a Cook Library item that is not on the shelf and is not checked out.  You will be notified when the item is located and it will be held for you at the Circulation Desk.  If it cannot be found, it will be marked missing and if you are a member of the USF/New College community, you may request the item from another library via ILLiad.

Recall Form.  If you are a member of the New College community, you may request that a Cook Library book that is currently checked out be recalled from another patron.  You will be notified when the book is returned and it will be held for you at the Circulation Desk.  

Claims Returned Form.  If you are a member of the USF at Sarasota/Manatee or New College community and you believe you returned a book that is still charged out on your record, you may initiate a search for the book. You will be notified if the book is found and your record cleared.  For additional details regarding this issue, review Cook Library's Circulation Policies.

Individualized Research Consultation Form.  Graduate students on may request an individualized research consultation with a Reference Librarian.  The Librarian will help to identify the most appropriate resources, collections and databases available in a given subject area and recommend search strategies.
