Information Commons

The Information Commons is a convenient area for students, faculty and staff to get research assistance, collaborate on projects or just relax. It is located on the second floor of the USF Sarasota-Manatee campus.

Research Assistance

Librarians will be available at the information desk to assist users:

• Identify and locate information in all formats including print, electronic and digital.
• Find information about Cook Library resources and services.
• Find information about USF Libraries resources and services.
• Troubleshoot word processing software or computing problems

Librarian Hours (May 19 - July 17, 2008)

Monday: 2:00 pm - 5:00 pm
Tuesday: 10:00 am - 1:00 pm
Wednesday: 1:00 pm - 3:00 pm
Thursday: 3:00 pm - 5:00 pm

Computers

There are several computer workstations for access to USF Libraries electronic resources and MS Office software. Also, the USF Wireless Network is accessible when laptops have been registered.

Printing and Copying Stations

Printing and copying service is available with a valid USF ID card or copy card. The printer in the area is designated as one of the printers for printing from wireless laptops. Installation of the wireless PAY-TO-PRINT driver is required.
