Services for Students

Borrowing Privileges

Undergraduate students with a valid USF ID may borrow up to 20 items for a loan period of a semester. Click here for more information.

Disabilities

Graduate students with a valid USF ID may borrow up to 35 items for a loan period of six weeks. Click here for more information.

Group Study Rooms

There are two study rooms available on the first floor of the library for groups of 3 or more.

Individual Study Carrels

Study carrels are available for graduate students. Requests are made in the library Administration office, LBR 201.

Interlibrary Loan

Requests for materials owned by other libraries may be made by using ILLIAD, an automated interlibrary loan management system.

Laptop Circulation

Laptops are available for limited checkout to students. Registration is required.

MyLibrarian

A personalized instruction service is available to all first year undergraduate students at USF Sarasota/Manatee. Click here for more information.

RefWorks

RefWorks is an online bibliographic management program that allows users to create a personal database of references formatted in a variety of output styles, including APA, MLA, Turabian, and Chicago. Use the research services request form.

Remote access to library resources

Remote access to electronic library resources can be gained by authentication. A system is used to sign-on all USF affiliates.

Research Assistance

Individualized research consultations are available by appointment. Research consultations should be scheduled at least 2 days in advance to allow for adequate preparation time. Complete a research services form to schedule a consultation with a librarian.
